Edd's Home Fish Care: Signs your pet fish may be stressed out..

?
My original evening plan of going to Wildlife Queensland's talk on Coral Under Stress was soon jeopardised when unfortunately my bus?was a couple of minutes late.? This?meant that I missed the connection to the next bus to get me to the venue on time.

So my evening became 'Edd Under Stress!' but as soon as I got home I watched my fish which always relaxes me?- fish are great for that!

But how do you tell if?your own fish may be stressed?? Here are a few signs to look out for:
- Fish breathing/gasping heavily and continuously at the surface
- Erratic and panicked movements
- Not eating
- Prolonged hiding

As each fish species varies it is good to understand how each of your fish?are likely to?act within captivity, and through daily observations you will understand what is normal behaviour for your little pets and this will make it easier to determine when your fish is stressed.

If you live in Brisbane and need help managing your fish's health please contact me for a service.
